Brand Kit

The key guidelines to the fundamentals of Cone’s visual identity.

Logo Usage

Cone has a single logo that may be used in both horizontal and vertical formats.

On Light Backgrounds:

Always use the dark version of the logo.

On Dark Backgrounds:

Always use the white version of the logo, ensuring there is sufficient contrast for full visibility.

On Light Backgrounds:

Our one colour logo should only be used when there are colour restrictions due to technical reasons, e.x. black and white printing. A black symbol and wordmark should be used on white.

On Dark Backgrounds:

Use the white symbol and wordmark on black, navy, or any background where the gradient lacks sufficient contrast. The gradient icon should always remain clear and easily distinguishable.

Clear Space

Maintain a clear space around the logo equal to the height of the 'o' in Cone. No text or design elements should encroach into this space.

Partnerships

When pairing our logo with a partner logo, both logos should feel equal in size. The scale of the logos should be optically balanced. The distance between the Cone logo and the partner logo should be the width of 'o'  symbol.

If the partner logo has to remain in its original colour, the Cone lockup can be white and placed on a background that uses the colour of the partner.

Common mistakes

Don’t use a background that blends into the icon colours

Don’t add a drop shadow or glow to the logo.

Don’t change the logo to the partner brand colours.

Don’t stretch or skew
the logo.

Colours

Cone’s primary brand colours — a bold yellow, teal, blue, and deep navy — reflect energy, innovation, and trust, while the secondary palette of rich teal, sky blue, pink, orange, and golden yellow provides flexibility for partnerships and creative applications.

Cones Trademark Guidelines

Cones’ Trademark Guidelines (the “Guidelines”) have been created to help our partners, licensees, and other authorized third parties (collectively, “You”) understand how to use Cones’ brand assets correctly, including Cones logos, trademarks, service marks, and any other word, name, phrase, image, or other designation that identifies the source or origin of any Cones products or services (“Cones Brand Assets”).

You are permitted to use the Cones Brand Assets only in accordance with these Guidelines and the Cones Style Guide. Any use of the Cones Brand Assets contrary to the Guidelines or Style Guide is prohibited. Cones reserves the right to revise or update the Guidelines and Style Guide at any time in its sole discretion.

The Cones Brand Assets are valuable intellectual property owned by Cones. By using or making reference to any Cones Brand Asset, you agree to comply with these Guidelines and the Cones User Terms of Service. You also acknowledge that Cones is the sole owner of the Cones Brand Assets, agree not to challenge or interfere with Cones’ rights in its Brand Assets, and agree that all goodwill derived from use of the Cones Brand Assets inures only to the benefit of Cones. We may review use of our Brand Assets at any time, and we reserve the right to terminate or modify any permissions granted.

If you have a separate written agreement with Cones — including, but not limited to, a Cones Partnership Agreement, Community Program Agreement, or any other license or collaboration — that agreement may include different or additional terms concerning the use of Cones Brand Assets. If so, you must follow the specific guidelines in your agreement as well as these Guidelines. To the extent those terms differ, the specific guidelines in your agreement will control.

How to Use (and Not Use) Cones Brand Assets

You may only use the Cones Brand Assets in the most current form provided by Cones in the Cones Style Guide and in accordance with these Guidelines, including the do’s and don’ts outlined below:

  • Do not use the Cones Brand Assets as part of your own trademarks, logos, company names, icons, product or feature names, domain names, social media handles, or avatars. For example, do not physically combine or intermingle any Cones Brand Asset with your own logo or design; they must remain separate.
  • Do not modify the Cones Brand Assets in any way, including by changing colors, proportions, dimensions, or by adding design elements.
  • Do not imitate the distinctive look and feel of Cones’ website, apps, logos, slogans, taglines, color scheme, icons, or other marketing materials.
  • Do not register or use a domain name that incorporates “Cones” or any confusingly similar term.
  • Do not use any Cones Brand Asset in a damaging or derogatory way, or in connection with any content that violates any law or the Cones User Terms of Service.
  • Do treat trademarks as adjectives, not nouns or verbs, and avoid plural or possessive usage. For example, you should refer to “the Cones® platform” rather than “a Cones” or “using Cones-ing.”
  • Do make sure your references to Cones accurately indicate your relationship with the company.

When using the Cones Brand Assets, your references must not suggest or imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with Cones, including by making Cones’ marks larger or more prominently placed than your own brand.
